The European Athletics Indoor Championships Glasgow 2019 is finally here and we can’t wait to welcome you to the Emirates Arena!
Six sessions of action-packed athletics over three days of intense competition as some of the best athletes in the world compete for prestigious European titles from the 1st – 3rd March 2019.

Before you leave
Be prepared
Don’t forget your tickets! Remember to keep your tickets with you at all times. Make sure your mobile phone is fully charged to allow you to show your e-tickets. Should you have any issues with your tickets before the event, contact your point of sale.
Conditions of entry
Your safety is our number one priority and we have a number of security measures in place to ensure you have the safest and most enjoyable experience.
Please minimise the amount of possessions you bring with you to the event. Our security provision for the event will include searching so please allow extra time to get to the venue, as a full bag and body search will be in operation.
There will be security presence at the event as we work closely with our agencies and partners to ensure the safety and security of those attending.
Please travel light; no large baggage will be allowed only small handbags and rucksacks are advised, that can easily be stored away under your seat.
Certain items are not allowed into the arena in the interests of Health and Safety including:
Weapons, ammunition, explosives, horns, whistles, drums, fireworks, flares, flag poles, large banners, helium balloons, selfie sticks, smoke grenades, drones, laser devices or any other item which in our reasonable opinion may cause danger or disruption to the event or to any other person (regardless of whether or not such item is illegal or is carried for specific purposes).
Any person in possession of such items will be refused entry to the arena. Any article that might be used as a weapon is deemed to be offensive or abusive, or compromise public safety, will be confiscated and reported to the Police.
Medication
Spectators are advised to bring medication in its original packaging and only enough for use during the event. All spectators are subject to bag searches and any unmarked / unpackaged medication will be confiscated.
There is no refrigeration on site so please make sure that you package your medication appropriately for the duration of your visit; we suggest bringing a small cool bag for any medication which needs to be kept cold.
Spectator Etiquette
Please be respectful of those around you by ensuring that you do not obstruct their view or cause any unnecessary inconvenience. Please keep noise to a minimum during track starts and respect the athletes.
Cameras and Binoculars Policy
We understand that amateur photography is part of the enjoyment when attending live athletics. We know we have the world’s most passionate and knowledgeable spectators, and as such we want them to be able to take home as many memories of top class athletics as possible.
Cameras (and accompanying camera bags no bigger than 30cm x 20cm) with a maximum lens length of six inches are permitted – if you have a lens length that extends beyond six inches we politely request that you keep to this length as a maximum so to not block the view of those next to or behind you in the arena. Video camcorders and audio equipment are not allowed. iPads, binoculars and accompanying carry cases are permitted.
Please be respectful of those around you and don’t block the view of other spectators.

Food and Beverages
A small amount of cold food for personal consumption can be brought into the arena. Sealed plastic bottles of water or juice under 500ml are permitted but no glass bottles, cans, flasks or picnic hampers are allowed. Strictly no alcohol.
Hot food and beverages will be available to purchase at the event. Vending machines are also available.
Food and drink kiosks will accept both cash and card payments. There is no ATM or cashback facility available at the venue.
Ticket Box Office
Located beside the main entrance and will be open 90 minutes before each session and during the event. There will also be an information point inside the arena on the main spectator concourse.
– Under 14s must be accompanied by an adult over 18
– Children aged two years plus must have a ticket
– Babies in arms (under two years old) will not require a ticket and will not be allocated a seat
– Ticketholders must retain their ticket at all times
Door Opening times / Fan Village
Doors and the fan village will open 90 minutes before each session starts.
Getting to the Venue / Car parking

There will be no spectator parking or set down/pick-up points at or near the venue. Limited accessible parking will be available for Blue Badge holders on a first come first serve basis. Spectator are advised to use public transport.
Baby Changing Facilities / Pushchair storage
Baby changing facilities are available on each level of the Emirates Arena. Please ask one of the stewarding team for the closest baby change location. Unfortunately there is no pushchair storage available at the venue.
Event Presentation
Please note that strobe lighting, pyrotechnics and other special effects may be used at this event.
Accessibility
Accessible, ambulant and step free access tickets are available and can be booked through our box office on 0141 353 8000.
Accessible Toilets
All of the Emirates Arena accessible toilets are unisex and available on all levels close to the accessible seating areas. These toilets are larger than standard toilets.
Guide and Assistance Dogs
Guide and assistance dogs are welcome at the Emirates Arena.
Accessible entry
Access to the arena is via a lift to the left-hand side of the arena’s main entrance, beside the steps.
Talk to a member of staff at the arena entrance if you have a disability that means you are unable to queue. They will organise priority entry for you as soon as the doors open.
Limited accessible parking will be available for Blue Badge holders on a first come first serve basis. Spectator are advised to use public transport.

First Aid Provision
There are First Aid and emergency medical services at the event. Contact any member of staff in the case of illness or injury.
Lost Property
Please report all lost or found to the nearest member of staff at the Emirates Arena. If you are no longer at the venue, please email our customer services team at [email protected]
No smoking
Smoking is not permitted at the Emirates Arena.
